Looking for a goal to keep you motivated over the winter months? Have you considered trying some fun racing?
A great initiative by the 4 Five Athletic Collective will see 3 twilight criterium races for women only on the 19/11, 26/11 and 3/12/22. The format is perfect for novice riders who would like to gradually improve bike handling skills. There will be grades A, B ,C ,D and possibly E this year.

A typical format from last season was:

4.30pm Rego Desk Open
4.45-5.00pm Little Critters (a spin for the little kids)
4.45-5.45pm Juniors
5.00-5.45 Mentoring & Warm ups.
6.00pm C & D grades
6.30pm A & B grades
7.00pm Group photos
7.15pm Presentations

Races are held on a closed circuit, and the atmosphere is FUN! Form a team of 3 (we can help) comprised of any grade (e.g. a B, C and D grade rider or three D grade riders) to accrue points. Bring a friend or partner to help volunteer and they earn points for your team.

And don’t forget, come November you will be able to ride, train or race at the Splendid Park Criterium Track in Yanchep! Rock up anytime, or attend our booked sessions Monday and Thursday evenings (once open).

Whether you are training or racing, you will require a AusCycle Race All-Discipline licence. Make sure that you select Northern Beaches Cycling Club as your club. This membership ensures you can participate in not only the twilight series but an array of other events held by other AusCycle – events such as criteriums, CX, mountain biking events, SEVEN, and Tour of Margaret River

Please support our sponsors and also socialise at the Quinns Rocks Sports Club as their contributions allow NBCC to have the lowest membership fee of any club!
